"Hi David, your original song ‘Life is Jelly’ is really, really, really, really good. It reminds me of Jack Johnson meets Ed Sheeran with a little bit more on the Jack Johnson side. Really catchy! I can't wait to hear more :) How are things at radio and with live performances?"

"Hey David – how would you feel about our using the song in a TV show? I’m producing a documentary on the Giants 2014 World Series team that’s premiering on CSN/NBC Universal. I think a section of your original song 'Let Me Love You' would be really nice when the players are talking about their love for SF and the fans’ love for them..."

"Over the past few years, David Parsons III, Mitch Millan, and their band have performed for the service members and families serving at the US Navy Base – PMRF Barking Sands (Kaua’i, Hawaii) during special events and occasions. The band was first hired to play for the 2017 West Most Freedom Fest, attended by an audience of over six thousand. This concert and others like it are headlined by some of pop music’s and Hawaii’s most reputable names including Henry Kapono,  Plain White T’s and The Green. The band also performed onboard PMRF Barking Sands at the 2017,  2018, and 2019 Holiday Bash and Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. I am always impressed with the team’s professionalism and their quality of performance... In fact, I asked Dave and Mitch to perform for a private, farewell gathering before I left. The band is guaranteed to entertain a crowd and provide a great time for all who attend.  I miss them now that I have relocated to my current assignment, but wish them the best in their music endeavors."

"We hired David Parsons III and his band to headline our 'Taste of the Tropics' VIP membership launch party at the Park James Hotel in Menlo Park, CA - just outside Stanford University in Silicon Valley. The event was sponsored by Facebook corporate, Koloa Rum, and Broughton Hotels. David and his team were an excellent choice and really brought the vibes of the islands to our event. Though the band is known for music outside the island genre, they were a great fit for our vibe and were great at keeping the audience engaged and entertained. To our surprise, it was very windy and cold that night, and the band was even able to get everyone who was cozied up in blankets by the fire pits up and dancing to the beat of their authentic music. The Thaitian/Hula dancer was an amazing touch. Would definitely recommend them and hire them again!"

"Dear David - Words can’t describe how special you have made our wedding day, but I wanted to thank you again for the magic you brought to our ceremony. Thank you for learning the songs that mean so much to us, for waking up at 5:30am to make a sunrise wedding, and for gracing us with your unbelievable talent. You made our day so perfect. I can only hope and pray that life repays you with just as much happiness as you have given us. Forever grateful..."

"There’s something about David. He makes every occasion extra special. He seems to know exactly how and when to be: Background Music, Enlivening, Engaging, Flexible! (How many times I’ve seen someone that wants to do the vocals to their song 🤣) His voice is soulful. He loves what he does. He’s conscientious and accountable and clearly happy to be making music that makes us happy."

"David, We can never thank you enough for having made our wedding so special. Anyone who is blessed with having you share your heart and soul on their special day will never forget it. You’re such an amazing person and talent. You truly touch so many lives. A perfect example is how you went out of your way to learn a Minnie Riperton song  and made it your own. I’d wanted it sung at my wedding since I was a little girl.  By far; the best part of having you there was the spiritual connection we made. You opened yourself up to us and by doing so, gave extra meaning to every song you performed. We are blessed to know you and to have had you be a part of our wedding."

"We met David on our first trip to Kauai, October of 2017. We saw David play our first night in Poipu at Keoki's Paradise. We were digging the vibe and David noticed! He came over after his set to say Hi.  We got to talking and found out we grew up in the same area back in the SF Bay Area. We stayed a week as we were checking out spots  for our wedding the following year and we liked Davids vibe so much we ended up watching him play 2 more shows that week!  Kept in touch and followed Call it Joy's instagram. March-April 2018: We were finalizing some plans for our wedding for Oct. 2018 and realized we needed some music. Thats when the light bulb hit and we realized David would be the perfect fit for some live music at our Ceremony and Reception. I hit David up and he was thrilled and instantly agreed to play our wedding! I even had a special request for him to learn one special song, Fire on the Horizon by Stick Figure. June-July 2018: David hit me up a couple times as he was learning the song and sent me sneak peaks of what he had put together. Oct 2019: Back on Kauai! We met up with David the day before the wedding and he was so excited to play and be a part of our special day it was awesome to see his enthusiasm! Wedding Day! David came by extra early and hung out with us for a bit as we all got ready. Wedding time at the beach! David played for friends and family as they arrived, setting the mood for a super chill vibe! Onto the reception, to our surprise David planned our special song for our introduction at the reception and it was perfect! Our guests quickly grew to love David as well and hopefully made him feel a part of the family! After dinner David jumped back on the guitar and played some more, eventually playing our song one more time to close his set! It was AMAZING! David will always be considered a friend and we truly love watching his passion for music and envy his life on the islands!."

"David performed for us at my mom’s memorial service at Kukuiula Harbor. He went to the trouble of learning two of my mom’s favorite songs and did a beautiful job singing and playing them. David is extremely talented as well as professional. He helped to make our special event even more special.  Mahalo, David!"

"We were so honored to have David Parsons share his talents and time with us as the musician for our wedding. He did a wonderful job! The music was beautiful and really helped make our day memorable and all that we hoped it would be. He was also professional and accommodating, happily working with us to be sure that the music was what we wanted. We would highly recommend David to anyone who is looking for special music for their wedding or event. You will not be disappointed!"

"It’s been such a wonderful journey so far.....Thank you again and again from the depths of our hearts for making our wedding day so very special for us! God bless you always, know that we keep you in our prayers and that we have so much love for you! Your rendition of our wedding song  'I Won't Give Up,' by Jason Marz was perfect. I still tear up every time I hear it. Thank you for being in our lives, we are so blessed! Just wanted you to know that because every time I see you, talk to you, or text, you give nothing but love and it makes my heart smile ...thank you for being alive and loving life! You are contagious and the Good Lord shines through you! We want the world to know that this beautiful God-loving man is the real deal...continue your journey Dave, much aloha to you and yours! May He continue to bless you abundantly!"

"My husband and I were blessed to have Call it Joy provide such sweet memories at our wedding reception! They were perfect for the occasion; classic tunes, done island style made for a fun night! They were so kind to our guests and even took some special requests. They made our night when they played Iz's, ‘Somewhere over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World.’ Let just say, there were tears of happiness from everyone!"
